Alright, I want to make things official about The PrinceThe Prince is a novella I wrote to accompany The Selection Trilogy. It’s basically a short story that takes place within the timeline of the first book. The Prince came about mostly because of my wonderful editor, Erica Sussman. As we were editing The Selection, she asked all these fantastic questions. Some of them led me to start looking at things the way other people in the stories would see them. In the end, I wrote two scenes from different POVs, one from Aspen’s and one from Maxon’s.

The Prince is taking that scene from Maxon’s perspective and elaborating on it. If you’ve ever wondered what the whole Selection thing looks like through his eyes, then I think you’ll really love this. It will be out exclusively in e-format (which, if you don’t have an e-reader, you can still access on your computer) and should be released March 5, 2013, just before The Selection comes out in paperback. I seriously can’t wait to share. I’m almost as excited about you guys having this as I am about handing over The Elite next April!

Review:

This is a great little addition. I love how Kiera showed the POV of Maxon’s little world. I really enjoyed it but would have loved to keep reading. I didn’t want it to end! Hopefully she will release a novella from Aspens POV soon! This novella is a great little snack before The Elite.

Keep tuned for my post on The Elite

Title: The Selection (The Selection #1)

Author: Kiera Cass

Genre: YA Paranormal Romance

Age Group: Young Adult

Rating: 4 Stars

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn’t want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she’s made for herself–and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

Review: Okay so I’ve read a few bad reviews. STUFF THEM I loved this book. It got be out of The Hunger Games depression. Which if any body has been there its a hard place to leave. This book is perfect to read if you like love triangles, princes and princess but still has an edge of political chaos. Its a quick chick flick that I absolutely adored.

Stay tuned for my post on The Prince and The Elite

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

This is one of my favourite movie trailers at the moment. The movie is written by Steve Conrad and directed by Ben Stiller who is also the lead actor. This movie might end up being lame, but let me tell you when I first watched this trailer it gave me goosebumps and still does.

It has everything, first it opens with a great song ‘Dirty Paws’ from the Iceland band ‘Of Monsters and Men’. The song was perfectly chosen starting small and really getting into that cinematic feel. Leaving you tingling all over.

The trailer also touches on all emotions from love, humour, thriller to depression with out even saying a word. The cut on this trailer is absolutely brilliant. The adventure scenes are filmed in a way that makes you feel like your in the movie doing it.

Stars include Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, Sean Pean, Shirley MacLaine and many others. This cast is full of comedians so i’m sure the movie will be quite hilarious.

This is a über epic movie trailer that you must watch.

Hope you enjoy it as much as i did : )

I rate this trailer 4/5

Lindsey Wixson

First appearing on the radar as the fresh face of Miu Miu with legs up to here, hair down to there, eyes that entranced and lips too good to be true, Lindsay Wixson is the hottest girl to emerge from Kansas since Dorothy Gale clicked her heels and transported herself to the magical city of Oz!

This little beauty will possibly be the next big.  Proclaimed as the modelling world’s biggest rising star. Having scored campaigns with fashion royalty, in campaigns for Mulberry, Barney’s, Alexander McQueen and Jill Stuet to name a few.

Wixson expressed that modelling really helped build her confidence and is inspired by Kate Moss’s fashion style. In 2011, her prom dress was designed especially for her by Jason Wu, the same designer who designed Michelle Obama’s dress for the inauguration.

Being nervous is a waste of time.

Miles Mcmillan

Miles Mcmillan

Whilst I was getting inspired by Paul Smith I found Miles McMillan. He is the model of the season with his uber cool looks and amazing beautiful hair. His status is raising whilst he scores campaigns with Paul Smith and Topshop.

Miles Mcmillan never planned to be a model. Instead, the 21-year-old California-native aspired to become a painter. But two years ago, while earning a degree in studio art at New York University, he was scouted on the street.  He didn’t think much of it at first, but later on, while his friends were all busy trying to find jobs, McMillan decided to give it a shot.
